As you may now know, Joomla  1.5 is now available in BETA .

This is great news and we recommend downloading it to install on a development server and explore all the cool new functionality plus improved admin interface - which is a whole lot simpler and easier on the eyes (less darting around the screen with more collapsable menus etc).

Note: it is still the first BETA so don't be silly and run a live site using it, because lots of extensions haven't been tested with it yet etc...  The development site over on joomla.org has some detail on the development schedule and we recommend keeping abreast of movements towards a stable release there as well .

You can look forward to a complete review of Joomla 1.5 here in about 2 weeks and until then, start salivating by eyeballing the screenshots over at joomla15.blogspot.com/
